HANCOCK, N.H. – Marion (Moffett) Meisinger, 89, of North Road, died Dec. 31, 2006, at Concord Hospital. Mrs. Meisinger was born March 14, 1917, in Machias, the daughter of Winnifred (Thompson) and Wentworth Robert Moffett. Mrs. Meisinger was a member of the Congregational Church of Hancock, N.H., as well as the local Women’s Club and Guild. She was a longtime volunteer at Monadnock Community Hospital. She was a craftswoman who enjoyed knitting, embroidery and needlepoint. She was particularly known for her hand-knotted oriental rugs which she passed on to several members of her family. She was also an avid reader and collector of cookbooks and loved to nurture others with her food. Before her retirement, she was a radiology technician in the Boston metropolitan area. She was married to the late Frederick Herrick of Melrose, Mass., who died in 1967; and the late Wales F. Meisinger of Hancock, N.H., who died in 1999. She is survived by a number of children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Services are private.
