CARIBOU – Marissa Emily Lloyd, 7, died unexpectedly Feb. 15, 2008, in New Sweden, as the result of an automobile accident. She was born March 17, 2000, in Caribou, the daughter of Daniel Forbes and Kristin Lloyd. Marissa was in second grade at Hilltop Elementary School. She attended Holy Rosary Catholic Church, where she also attended CCD classes. She was also a member of the Junior Auxiliary American Legion Henry B. Pratt Post No. 15 and AYBL Basketball League. She was a child who touched everyone she met. She was a vibrant ray of light with an addictive personality. Marissa loved snowboarding, soccer, basketball, reading and spend-ing time with her friends, family and pets. She also loved telling knock-knock jokes and making people smile. She will be greatly missed by all. You are our little guardian angel. Marissa is survived by her mother, Kristin Lloyd of Caribou; maternal grandparents, John and Connie Lloyd of Caribou; great-grandparents, Lewis and Sylvia Ouellette and Emily Lloyd and the late Kenneth Lloyd, all of Caribou; aunts and uncles, Randy and Kathy Dodd, Ann and Kevin Chapman and Michael and Kathy Ouellette, all of Woodland; special uncle, Kenneth Lloyd of Caribou; her godparents, Lisa and Art Berkoski of Caribou; her father, Daniel For-bes of New Sweden; paternal grandparents, Bryan Forbes of New Sweden and Ann Tickell of Campton, N.H.; great-grandmother, Mildred Forbes and the late Llewellyn Forbes of New Sweden; aunts and uncles, Jeff and Bonnie Bouchard of Caribou, Alan and Lynn Turnbull of New Sweden; many cousins; a sister, Crystal Forbes; aunts and uncles, Peter Ouellette and Terri Hallowell, both of Caribou, Bobby and Peggy Winquest, Alan and Lori DeToma, all of South Carolina, Earl and Lois Faulkner of Alaska, Thomas and Carolyn Riley of Michigan, Cindy Lloyd of Texas; many cousins; special friends, Megan Ouellette and Meaghan Ireland. Friends may call 10 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday, Feb. 20, at Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou, with services 1 p.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with the Very Rev. Jean-Paul Labrie, pastor, officiating in a Mass of Christian burial. Spring interment will take place at New Holy Rosary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations will be accepted at County Federal Credit Union in Caribou, under the “Sunshine Fund” in memory of Marissa, helping today’s children live a greater tomorrow. Providing educational tools for all second graders to help with a problem free tomorrow to live life without the fear of abuse or drugs interfering with a wonderful future. Envelopes may also be obtained through the funeral home.
