MAPLETON – Marjorie E. Bishop, 77, went home to be with her Lord Monday night, Nov. 21, 2005, at her home in Mapleton, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born Oct. 13, 1928, in Presque Isle, the daughter of the late Earl and Madalyn (Rediker) Buchanan. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, always thinking of everyone before herself. Marjorie was a faithful member of the State Road Advent Christian Church in Mapleton. She was predeceased by her husband, Donald, in November 2002. She leaves behind three children, Sheila J. Steele of California, Barbara A. Pierce and her husband, Terry, of Bridgewater and her son, Michael D. Bishop and his wife, Norine, of Sidney; three special granddaughters, Michelle Starbird and her husband, Rickey Jr., of Swanville, Tara McCrum and husband, Dirk, of Mars Hill and Christine Bishop of Florida; a brother, Philip Buchanan and his wife, Barbara, of Presque Isle; three sisters, Patricia Buchanan of Presque Isle, Marilyn Jean Tardie and her husband, Davis, of Mapleton and Dolores Raymond of Presque Isle; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, at the State Road Advent Christian Church with the Rev. Greg Moody officiating. Relatives and friends may call 1 p.m. until time of service at the church. Interment will be at Fairmount Cemetery, Presque Isle.
