BLUE HILL – Marjorie E. Howard, 94, died Oct. 27, 2005, at a Penobscot healthcare facility. She was born Jan. 23, 1911, in Blue Hill, the daughter of Harold and Augusta (Robbins) Hooper. She was a member of the South Penobscot Baptist Church, Halcyon Grange, of North Blue Hill, the Hancock Pomona Grange, Past Master of Arbutus Grange, of Surry and Past Deputy of the Maine State Grange. She is survived by a son, Gordon Howard and his wife, Patty, of Blue Hill; six grandchildren, seven great-grand-children and one great-great- grandchild; brother-in-law, Kendall Howard and wife, Florence; and best friend, Carrie Saunders. She was predeceased by her dear husband, Earle Howard; sister, Grace Howard; and brother, Cecil Hooper. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 1, at Mountain View Cemetery, North Blue Hill with the Rev. Rodney Drake presiding. Those who desire may make contributions in Marjorie’s memory to Activity Department, Penobscot Nursing Home, Route 15, Penobscot, ME 04476.
