STOCKHOLM – Marjorie F. Strainge, 76, died May 2, 2005, at a Presque Isle health care facility after a brief illness. She was born Nov. 25, 1928, at Caribou, the daughter of Fritz and Lillian (Landfors) Anderson. Marjorie was a graduate of the Madawaska Training school and the University of Maine at Fort Kent. She was a school teacher, teaching for 28 years at various Aroostook County public schools. She also served as town manager and later, on the board of selectman in Stockholm, where she lived most of her life. Marjorie is survived by two sons, David Strainge and his wife, Carla, of Stockholm, Colin “Pepe” Strainge and his wife, Maureen, of Schodack, N.Y.; four grandchildren, Victoria and Patrick Strainge of Stockholm and Lauren and Dennis Strainge of Schodack, N.Y. Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, May 7, at the Lancaster Morgan Funeral Home, 11 Clover St., Caribou, with the Rev. Jim Morgan, Pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, officiating. There will be no calling hours. A reception for family and friends will be held after the memorial service at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Stockholm.
