ORONO – Marjorie L. Hobbie, 78, wife of the late Kirvin “Casey” Hobbie, died Jan. 16, 2006, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Oct. 22, 1927, in Orono, the daughter of Joseph and Daisy (Nelson) Myers. Marjorie loved her family and home life and everyone that ever met her loved her. She is survived by her daughter and husband, Melody and Keith Morse of Orrington; two brothers, Clarence and Arthur Myers, both of Orono; a special niece, Betty St. Louis of Old Town; a number of other nieces, nephews, cousins and her very special canine friends, Whiskey and Sho Sho. In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by five brothers, George, Jonathan, Joseph, Alex and Robert Myers; two sisters, Greta Cote and Barbara Myers. Friends may call 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18, at Brookings-Smith, LaBeau Chapel, 72 Main St., Orono, where funeral services will be held 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 19, with the Rev. Richard A. Reynolds, officiating. Spring interment will be at Riverside Cemetery, Orono.
