LIMESTONE – Marjorie L. Weatherhead, 84, passed away Friday, Nov. 12, 2004, at a Bangor hospital. She was born July 1, 1920, in Fort Fairfield, the daughter of DVM George and Pearl (Wilson) Burtt. Marjorie graduated from Fort Fairfield High School. She married Cecil Weatherhead in 1938. She worked at the Northern National Bank in Limestone for many years, and was a member of the Episcopal, Church of the Advent in Limestone. Her greatest joys in life were her husband, Cecil, her family and many wonderful friends. She was a good cook and loved cooking for her family. Marge had many fond memories of her life and enjoyed reminiscing with her children. She had a passion for playing bridge. We often said that “Mom would rather play bridge than do anything else”. She also had a special companion, Jazzy, her Maine Coon cat. Marge is survived by her four children, daughter, Judy and husband, Fred Sirois, of Windsor Locks, Conn., and their children, Craig, Cathy, Jill and Andrea; daughter, Bonnie and husband, Jim Barden, of Limestone and their children, David and Cindi; daughter, Terry and husband, Gib Philbrick, of Warren; son, Peter and wife, Debbie Weatherhead, of Limestone and their children, Traci, Amanda, Julia and Zachary; sister, Phoebe Russell of Rowland Heights, Calif., as well as six great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sister, Kathleen Benjamin; and brother, Philip Burtt. At Marge’s request there will be no visiting hours. A graveside service will be held at a later date along with a gathering for friends and family to celebrate her life.
