LINCOLN and ZEPHYRHILLS, Fla. – Marjorie M. Osgood, wife of Roderick E. Osgood, passed away peacefully, June 15, 2005, at Penobscot Valley Hospital, Lincoln. She was born in Ashland, the daughter of Harry P. Dorman and Mary E. (Allen) Dorman. Marge graduated from Ashland High School and from Nasson College in June of 1945. She taught Home Economics in Howland for many years, where she was very popular with students and faculty. In more recent years, she joined her husband, where they were owners and proprietors of Osgood’s Lincoln Department Store, retiring in 1976. They then moved to Florida, where they enjoyed their retirement, moving back to their Maine residence summers. Marjorie enjoyed traveling and nature. In addition to her husband, Roderick, she is survived by three daughters and their husbands, Wanda M. and Albert J. Bennett of Crystal Lake, Ill., Brenda L. and Steven J. Gavin of Aiken S.C., and Sandra O. and Darrell S. Hurd of Lincoln; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; and her sisters-in-law, Pauline Randall and her husband, Harland, Joyce Russell and Ruth Hubbard. She was predeceased by a sister, Marion R. Bryant of Augusta. Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-8 p.m. Thursday, June 16, 2005, at the Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Darrell Joiner officiating. Interment will be in Lincoln Cemetery.
