LINCOLNVILLE – Marshall H. “Mike” Cilley, 79, died Sunday, Feb. 8, 2004, at the residence of his daughter in Lewiston, after a courageous battle with lung cancer. He was born June 11, 1924, at Camden, the son of Stanley M. and Marguerite (McKinney) Cilley. Marshall was a U.S. Navy veteran having served in World War II. Marshall with his father and brother, Linwood, were poultry growers for many years. After he finished his farming career he was a carpenter for Howard Thomas of Camden, and then until the spring of 2003 with Eugene Miller of Camden. Marshall enjoyed the summer months when he could work in his gardens and be outdoors. He was a 50-year member of King David’s Masonic Lodge of Lincolnville. Marshall was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Selma Heal Cilley; two sisters, Ruth and Martha; and one brother, Linwood. He is survived by three daughters, Lois Cilley Despres and husband, Rick, of Lewiston, Joan Cilley Myhaver of Chesterville, Diana Cilley Pease and husband, Jethro, of Morrill; and son, Stanley Cilley and wife, Denise, of Chesterville; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Elsie Bowen. Memorial services will be held 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 13, at the Rackliffe Funeral Home, 54 Church St., Belfast, with the Rev. Charles Erb officiating.
