PENOBSCOT – Martha Anne Ladd, 67, died July 23, 2004, at a Bangor hospital. She was born April 23, 1937, in Castine, the daughter of Archibald and Iverdel (Gray) Grindle. Martha enjoyed her family, needle work, fishing, hunting and camping. She will be remembered for her homemade donuts and chocolate chip cookies. She is survived by her beloved husband of 47 years, Joseph L. Ladd of Penobscot; one daughter, Kimberly and her husband, Neil McCombs, of Penobscot; two sons and their wives, Scott and his wife, Lisa Ladd, of Penobscot, and John J. and his wife, Jessica Ladd, of Orland; nine grandchildren, Dana, Thomas, Alicia, Tiffany, Jassica, Jan, Nichole, Joseph and Katie; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, July 29, 2004, at Edgewood Cemetery, Brooksville. Arrangements are under the care of the Healey Funeral Home, South Street, Blue Hill.
