FORT KENT – Martha M. Jarrett, 73, died suddenly Oct. 25, 2005, at a local healthcare facility. She was born Feb. 18, 1932, in Fort Kent, the daughter of Belonie and Laura (Michaud) Gagnon. Martha worked as a police dispatcher for the Town of Fort Kent for 18 years. She was a member of the St. Louis Choir, the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, C.O.F., and the Ladies of St. Anne, all of Fort Kent. She is survived by three children and their spouses, Joseph and his wife, Peggy, Mark and his wife, Maureen, all of Fort Kent and Laure and her husband, Norman Roy, of Eagle Lake; one brother, Gilman Gagnon of Connecticut; one sister, Dora Dumond of Fort Kent; six grandchildren and one great-grandson. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by three brothers and one sister. Friends may call 8 a.m. Saturday until the time of the service at the Daigle and Nadeau Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent, with the Rev. James Nadeau officiating. Committal service will follow in the parish cemetery.
