OLD TOWN – Martha Viola (Osell) LaFlamme, 92, wife of the late Maurille LaFlamme, died Dec. 2, 2004, at Orono Commons Nursing Home. Martha was born Oct. 11, 1912, in Connor Plantation, daughter of the late Martin Osell and Martha (Nelson) Osell. She attended Stockholm grade schools, graduated from Caribou High School, and Eastern Maine General Hospital as a Registered Nurse. She was employed at hospitals and nursing homes in Manchester and New London, Conn. She is survived by three sons, Peter and his wife, Roberta, of Richardson, Texas, David of New London, Conn., and Martin of Old Town; three granddaughters, Rochelle Cole of Scottsdale, Ariz., Nicole LaFlamme and Felissa LaFlamme of Dallas, Texas; two great-granddaughters, Hannah and Mallory Allen of Scottsdale, Ariz. She was respected, loved and will be missed by all who knew her. A special thank you to her wonderful home care givers and those special ladies at Orono Commons. A memorial service will be conducted 3 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 9, 2004, at the Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town, with the Rev. Normand Richard officiating.
