BREWER – Mary Ann Grodewald, 54, wife of Robert Grodewald, died Dec. 21, 2006, at her home after a brief illness. She was born July 31, 1952, in Patterson, N.J., the daughter of Andrew and Eleanor McDonald Viscuso. Mary Ann grew up and attended Catholic schools in New Jersey, graduating from Pope Pius High School, Passaic, N.J. She and her family moved to Maine, where they resided for the past four years. She worked at Marden’s in Brewer. Mary Ann was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Brewer, and a dedicated wife and mother. Surviving in addition to her husband of Brewer, are three children, Scott Grodewald and Laura Dunn, of New Jersey, Jennifer Grodewald and Brian Grodewald, both of Brewer; a brother-in-law, Christopher A. Grodewald and his wife, Carol, of New Jersey; a sister-in-law, Diane MacDonald of North Carolina. Family and friends may visit 6-8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 22, at Kiley Funeral Home, 69 State St., Brewer. A Mass of Christian burial will be privately celebrated at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Brewer, with the Very Rev. Richard Mc-Laughlin, pastor, celebrant. Burial will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Bangor. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association of Maine, P.O. Box 2208, Augusta, ME 04338-2208 or the American Cancer Society, New England Division, Inc., 1 Main St., Suite 300, Topsham, ME 04086.
