MILLINOCKET – Mary Lucci, 80, passed away June 19, 2004, at her home. She was born June 18, 1924, and raised in Millinocket, the daughter of Joseph and Olive (DiProfio) Lucci. She graduated from Stearns High School with the class of 1942. Mary was a very warm, friendly person who will be greatly missed. She wrote beautiful poetry and had some recited at various veteran functions, and at the “Little Italy Heritage” get-togethers. She wrote poems for couples’ anniversaries, and was very talented. Who could ever forget the wonderful lawn parties she hosted. Mary liked to play the piano and used to sing with the Glee Club of Millinocket. She is survived by two brothers, Angelo Lucci of Millinocket, and Alfred Lucci of Portland; two nieces, Jane Milliken of Portland, and Ann Lear of Nashua, N.H.; one nephew, Alfred Lucci of South Portland. Friends may call 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, June 22, 2004, at R.L. Bouchard Funeral Home, 11 Tamarack St., Millinocket. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 23, at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church. Burial will immediately follow in Millinocket Cemetery.
