OLD TOWN – Mary E. Thompson joined God on Feb. 16, 2004, after a long and courageous battle with Osteoporosis. She was a retired employee of the University of Maine She was predeceased by her parents, John Thompson and Enola Clark (Martin); and her sister, Viola French of New Jersey. She is survived by her sister, Amber Baer of New Jersey; her brother, Palmer Thompson of Renton, Wash.; sadly missed by her son, Merle Thompson; her grandchildren, Justin Thompson, Antonio Thompson and Ashley LeMay; and her special grandson, Matthew Thibeault. Family and friends will be notified of an Irish wake to be held later in the spring.
