STONINGTON – Mary was born Aug. 26, 1922, in Stonington, the daughter of Forrest and “Christy” (Robbins) Bray. At four years old she ran everyday to attend school in Mountainville. Mary continued with her education in the Deer Isle School system and graduated in 1940. She met her husband Toiva “Toby” Wiberg Jr., while working at the local cannery and was later married, Aug. 25, 1943, in Deer Isle and had three children. She worked for more than 25 years in the local sardine factory and also worked as a clerk at Burgess Grocery, Greenhead. In addition to her parents and her husband in 1979, she was predeceased by a brother, Russell; and a sister, Annette. She is survived by two sisters, Laura Hutchinson and her husband, Eugene, and Zella Haskell, all of Deer Isle. Mary enjoyed her flower gardens and her indoor and outdoor plants. She is also survived by her three children, Raymond Wiberg and his wife, Connie, of Deer Isle, Marjorie Nevells and her husband, Forrest, and David Wiberg and his wife, Sandra, all of Stonington; grandchildren, Kenny Wiberg and his wife, Christie, and their daughter, Taylor, all of Deer Isle, Katie Grey of Blue Hill, Nicholas Wiberg and his wife, Katie, Meghan Wiberg, all of Stonington. On April 2, 2008, Mary Ellen (Bray) Wiberg, passed away after a short illness at a Bangor hospital.
