BREWER – Mary French Ward, 68, died April 6, 2008, at her home. She was born April 11, 1939, in Relay, Md., to the late Catherine and Kilburn French. Mary was graduated by Towson State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1961. In December of that year, she married Wallace Ward and they were together for 42 years, until his death in 2003. Mary had many roles and occupations during her life. She was a Marine Corps. officer’s wife, a teacher, a pilot, an accountant, a mother and a doting grandmother. During her career she sold airplanes, Porsches and life insurance. She and Wally both had pilots’ licenses and spent many years flying around New England. Mary is survived by her son, Andrew Ward of Gilbert, Ariz.; daughter-in-law, Ana; granddaughters, Gabrielle and Raquelle; sister, Katherine Weil of Huntington Beach, Calif.; nieces, Deborah and Becky; and nephews; David and Stephen. Her family thanks her friends, Mary Fitzpatrick, Susan Grindle, and Rita, Roy and Katharine Horsey for all their help and support during Mary’s final days.
