ROCHESTER, N.H. – Mary E. Auger “Mrs. A,” 48, of 25 Hampshire Ave., passed away Monday, May 22, 2006, after a courageous battle with cancer, at Wentworth Douglas Hospital in Dover, N.H. She was born March 13, 1958, in Bangor, the daughter of James and June (Elwell) Glencross. She was a person that dedicated her life as a care provider for those in need. As a CNA, she provided comfort and care for the elderly in nursing homes as well as private duty care in residences. She then gave up her career to be an “at-home mom,” providing love and support for her family. Recently, she became a para-professional for the Rochester, N.H school department providing one-on-one care for special needs children. She is survived by her loving husband, Phil Auger; daughter, Nicole Auger; mother, June Glencross; brother, Stephen Glencross; her sister, Patricia Graf; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, James Glencross. A celebration of life will be held 6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 7, at Riverside Cemetery, Bennoch Road, Orono, with Pastor Roger Tracy officiating. The family invites relatives and friends to gather for an informal celebration and burial of Mary, with her beloved father.
