LINCOLN – Mary Isabelle DeBeck, 65, wife of the late Kenneth DeBeck Sr., passed away April 30, 2008, at a Togus hospital. She was born Jan. 13, 1943, in Castine, the daughter of Donald and Natalie (Crocker) Hutchins. Mary was a U.S. Navy veteran, a member of American Legion and Lincoln Veterans Honor Guard. At one time, she was active in the Grange. She enjoyed spending her winters in Florida. She will be missed by her little buddy, “George.” She is survived by a son, Kenneth DeBeck Jr. of Lincoln; three grandchildren, Kaylee DeBeck of Ellsworth, Alicia Forrest of Long Beach, Calif., and Jessica Forrest of San Diego; nieces and nephew, Jan McEvilly, Joy Baez and Don Becker, all of Illinois; her former daughters-in-law, Kathy Hill and her husband, Wade, and Diana Forrest and her friend, Tracy Collins; sister-in-law, Dottie DeBeck of Bangor; brothers-in-law, Carroll DeBeck of Eddington and Al Lewis of Aiken, S.C. She also leaves special friends, Elaine Antone, Pam Ridley, Jane Edgecomb Clay and Earlene Temples. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by a sister, Norma. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. A graveside service, with full military honors will be held 4 p.m. Sunday at Lincoln Cemetery with the Rev.
