MONSON – Mary Lou Shontz, 73, died May 11, 2008, at Mayo Regional Hospital, Dover-Foxcroft. She was born July 4, 1934, in Mount Holly, N.J. She worked as a statistical clerk for Burlington County Health Nursing Association, Mount Holly, N.J. She enjoyed sewing, reading and all types of puzzles. Mary Lou was also a ham radio operator N2CLX, and was a member of West Jersey Amateur Radio Club, Willingboro, N.J. For many years, she and her husband vacationed in Maine, and finally moved to Maine in 2000. She was a member of Willimantic Community Church, Willimantic. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Sam Shontz of Monson; three daughters, Terri Tress and Brenda Kuhn, both of New Jersey, and Suzanne Wells of Pennsylvania; seven grandchildren; and a sister, Betty Patterson of New Jersey. Friends may call 1-2 p.m. Friday, May 16, at Crosby & Neal, 21 Oak St., Guilford, where funeral services will be held 2 p.m. with Pastors Lloyd Rozelle and Greg Loveless officiating.
