STONINGTON – Mary N. Greenlaw, 76, died July 1, 2006, at a local hospital. She was born Feb. 26, 1930, in Stonington, the daughter of Maynard L. Gray Sr. and Mary H. Mackenzie. Mary left us quietly at dawn on a coastal summer morning to share the sunshine, clear sky and calm reflective waters with her late husband, the deeply missed Harold W. Greenlaw. Mary and Harold traveled the world together visiting far away seas, Alaskan night skies, exotic lands and casinos everywhere, but they truly loved their home and life on the island. As they were reunited July 1, 2006, the view of their paradise from the top of Caterpillar Hill would have shown a glimpse of heaven to anyone who would simply stop and look. Her parents; one brother, William Gray; and one daughter, Norene Joyce, predeceased her. Mary is survived by three sons, Howard and his wife, Cathy Greenlaw, of Strafford, N.H., Al and his wife, Debbie Greenlaw, of Stonington and Gary and his wife, Nancy Greenlaw, of Orono; one brother, Maynard Jr. and his wife, Joyce Gray, of Deer Isle; one sister, Helen Souther of Mercid, Calif.; eight grandchildren, Jason, David, Timothy, Lacy, Jeffery, Isaac, Amber and Sheena; two great-grandchildren, Maleah and Lillian; and a son-in-law, Clayton Joyce. Visiting hours will be held 1-3 p.m. July 22, at the Bragdon-Kelley-Campbell Funeral Home, Main Street, Stonington with the Eastern Star Rites during visitation. Internment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mary’s name to CancerCare of Maine, 417 State St., Suite 20, Bangor, ME 04401-6600. For more information please visit our web site www.bragdonkelley.com
