PORTLAND – Mary Patricia Orsini, 77, of Northfield Green, passed away peacefully Wed-nesday evening, Oct. 31, 2007, surrounded by her family at her home. Born Dec. 28, 1929, in Bangor, she was the daughter of Ralph and Emily Fortier. She attended Bangor schools and graduated from John Bapst High School. Upon graduation from high school, she was employed at New England Telephone Co., at operator services. Upon her marriage to her husband, Anacleto Orsini, she assumed the role of mother and homemaker. Later on in life, she attended Westbrook College and received her certificate as a certified nursing aide, which she performed until she retired. Upon retiring, she moved to the Greater Portland area. She was a lifelong member of Daughters of Isabella and held a number of positions in the organization. She was an avid reader and had a keen interest in history. Pat was also an enthusiastic card player. In her later years, Pat traveled extensively fulfilling a lifelong dream. She is survived by her four daughters and their spouses, Dianna and Eugene Dumont of Smithfield, Tannia and Gerald Bell of Falmouth, Nannette and Barry Spear of Williamsburg, Va., and Jennifer and David Gaines of San Antonio; and five grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Anacleto T. “Jay”; one son, William Andrew; one daughter, Gail Barth; and one grandson, David Dumont. The family expresses their gratitude to the members of Beacon Hospice. A memorial Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, at St. Teresa’s Catholic Church, Brewer. Father La-veille will celebrate the Mass. Internment will take place at Maple Grove Cemetery.
