ELKO, Nev. and MILLINOCKET – Mary R. Oldham RN died May 15, 2006. She was born June 2, 1923, in Millinocket, the daughter of Kenneth E. Sr. and Daisy Reed. She graduated from Stearns High School, the Eastern Maine General Hospital in 1947, as a cadet nurse and worked in nursing for 42 years before being confined with Alzheimer’s in a nursing home in the west for the past 13 years. She and her late husband, John, ran Fox Springs Ranch near Elko, Nev. Very active in the Order of Eastern Star, Mary was the worthy grand matron for the state of Nevada. She is survived by three of the four children, she and her husband adopted, Stanley Oldham, Cathy Anne Lino and Matthew Oldham; her siblings, Kenneth Reed Jr. of Cincinnati, Ohio and Anne R. Erickson of Millinocket, nieces and nephews; and her stepdaughter, Kathleen Taylor of Elko, Nev. She was predeceased by her son, Fred; and her sibling, Carl Reed of Millinocket. Funeral services will be held at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Elko, Nev.
