ORONO – Marie J. Blackmore, 58, died May 19, 2006, at a Millinocket hospital. She was born Nov. 5, 1947, in Old Town, a daughter of Arthur and Mildred (Daigle) Lynch. Marie was employed for 39 years at the University of Maine, serving in several departments. She loved camping, NASCAR and country music. She had been an active member of the Rebekahs. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Kenneth Blackmore of Orono; a daughter, Cindy Lilley and her husband, Larry, of Hudson; two grandsons, Joshua and Jon; two sisters-in-law, Nancy Kimball of Portland and Patricia Hill of Hartford, Conn.; her canine companion, Sammie; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Arthur and Mildred; three brothers, Arthur Lynch Jr., Richard Lynch, and Donald Lynch; and a sister, Rita Beals. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town where a funeral service will be conducted 10 a.m. Monday. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Bradley.
