LINCOLN – Mathilda E. (Brousseau) LaCombe, 90, passed away Dec. 26, 2007, at home. She was made in the image and likeness of God and has been escorted home to her heavenly Father by all the angels and saints. She was born Sept. 24, 1917, in St. Louis du Ha! Ha!, Quebec, the daughter of Antoine and Alice (Marmen) Brousseau, and was one of 14 children. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Alcie LaCombe; two infant children; a son, Rheal and his lovely wife and dear friend, Alice LaCombe; two sons-in-law, and many brothers and sisters. She is survived by her children, Monique Jandreau of Lincoln, Lionel and his wife, Omerine LaCombe, of Mattawamkeag, Arnold and his wife, Judy LaCombe, of Winn, Paul and his wife, Evelyn LaCombe, of Bristol, Conn., Angie and her husband, Gerald Christian, of Hobart, Ind., Pauline and her husband, Robert Jackman, of Jonesborough, Tenn., Lisette Dube of Sherbrook, Canada, Hilda and her husband, Florean Malcolm, of Millinocket, Cynthia and her husband, Gary Fleming, of Chester, Eldon and his wife, Barbara LaCombe, of Upper Marlboro, Md., Gisele and her husband, John Lee, of Medway, Diana and her husband, Lonnie Adams, of Caribou, Robert and his wife, Sandra LaCombe, of Medway, Maurice and his wife, Sherry LaCombe, of Milford, and Gert and her husband, Wayne Campbell, of Lincoln; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren that she loved dearly, as well as many nieces and nephews. Those of us left behind thank her for the many lessons she taught us, and for her unending spiritual guidance that she bestowed upon us. We will miss her deeply. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Friday at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary of Lourdes Catholic Church, Lincoln, with the Rev. Myles Cyr, presiding. Spring interment will be at East Winn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Mary of Lourdes/Sacred Heart Catholic Churches, Lincoln, or Masses said in her name.
