ORONO – Matilda Sugg, 96, wife of the late Carl B. Sugg, died Nov. 2, 2006, at an Orono health care facility. She was born June 9, 1910, in Greensborough, N.C., the daughter of Walter and Jennie (Tatum) Robinson. Matilda worked for 30 years as an economist with the U.S. Department of Labor. She is survived by three daughters, Elizabeth Brand of Orono, Ann Lindley of Alexandria, Va., and Ellen Sugg of Burney, Calif.; 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews and loving friends. The family thanks the staff of Dirigo Pines for their exceptional loving care. A memorial service will be celebrated 3:30 p.m. at Dirigo Pines, Kenduskeag Pallor, Orono.
