BREWER – Matthew E. Jackson died unexpectedly on March 19, 2004, at a Bangor hospital. He was born Aug. 1, 1982, in Stoughton, Mass. Matt loved to fish and attend Camp Tall Pines. He was an avid fan of all New England sports, and loved the Boston Red Sox. He got to attend a game this fall. He played sports in Special Olympics, basketball, soccer and winter and summer games. Matt completed his education at Brewer High School in June 2003. He will be fondly remembered and missed by his former teachers and students. Matt left behind wonderful experiences and memories with his OHI family, friends and his former foster mother, Bonnie Bean. Matt will be greatly missed by his biological family in the Vassalboro area. He is survived by a father, Gerald E. Jackson Jr. and wife, Brenda; a mother, Cecelia Darcy Jackson; grandparents, Gerald E. Jackson Sr. and wife, Ida, and Clara Maraglia; siblings, John E. Jackson, uncle William Maraglia and his wife, Denise; special cousin, John Boucher; several other uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews. A celebration of his life to be held 2:30 p.m. March 29, 2004, at Columbia St. Baptist Church Gymnasium, Bangor.
