ST. AGATHA – Mattie Guerrette, 95, died Oct. 1, 2006, at a Madawaska nursing home. She was born Feb. 24, 1911, in Daigle, the daughter of Alexander and Olive (Emond) Laferriere. She resided in St. Agatha and Frenchville for 21 years. She is survived by two sons, Bertrand of Southington, Conn., and Camille of Newington, Conn.; one daughter, Dorothy Beaulieu, and her husband, Edward, of Gardiner; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her first husband, Maxim Ouellette; and her second husband, Paul Guerrette; two brothers, Emile and Aurelle; and three sisters, Claire Paradis, Elsie Pelletier and Elise Cyr. Friends and relatives may call at Michaud Funeral Home, St. Agatha, 6-8 p.m. Monday and 8:30 a.m. Tuesday until time of service. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Agatha Catholic Church with the Rev. Phil Cyr officiating. Burial will be after at St. Agatha Upper Cemetery.
