HOULTON – Maurice (Moe) Estey, 70, died Aug. 28, 2005, at a local hospital after a short but brave battle with cancer. He was born May 6, 1935, in Bridgewater, the son of Ernest and Margaret (Sparks) Estey. Maurice worked for years at Valshings and McCain processing plants, and in the years before his retirement, as a farmhand for Al Jewell. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Lorraine (Reed) Estey of Houlton; four children, Debra Estey of Owls Head, Cheryl McCrum and her husband, Harold, of Mapleton, Daniel Estey of Yarmouth and Lynn Estey and her boyfriend, Kevin Trafford, of Bridgewater; three grandchildren, Michael Estey of Thomaston, Noah Estey of Raymond and Destiney Rae Processer of Littleton; one sister, Isabelle Crawford of Bath, New Brunswick; a special nephew, Mike Crawford of Presque Isle; and several nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his parents; two brothers; two sisters; and one grandchild. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 31 at the Bridgewater Smith Cemetery with Pastor Lawrence Beals officiating. A time of remembrance and fellowship will be held at the Bridgewater Pentecostal Chur-ch immediately following the service.
