BANGOR – Maxine Eurydice Hodgdon, 92, died Feb. 26, 2005, at a Bangor healthcare facility. She was born Feb. 10, 1913, in South Lincoln, the daughter of Harry and Madeline (Severence) Nason. Maxine enjoyed knitting, crochet, and gardening. She enjoyed her many rounds of golf at Bangor Municipal Golf Course where her husband Clyde was a charter member. Maxine had much spunk and enjoyed listening and dancing to the Rock Band, Aerosmith, and will be sadly missed by her friends at WKIT who knew her as “Emmy”. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be dearly missed. She is survived by her daughters, Linda and husband, Paul McCormick, of Bangor, Valerie and husband, Arnold Getchell, of Hermon; a brother, Ronald Nason; five grandchildren, Kevin McCormick, Michael McCormick and wife, Mona, Tim McCormick and wife, Kim, Amy Luce and husband, Fred, and Andy Crawford and wife, Kim; six great-grandchildren, TJ and Tyler McCormick, Matthew and Nicholas Luce, Brett and Allison Crawford; several nieces and nephews, and longtime friends, Grace Perkins and Helene Flagg. In addition to her loving husband of 53 years, Clyde Hodgdon; she was predeceased by two sisters, Phyllis and Daphne; and a brother, Basil. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday March 1, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the Brookings-Smith Family Center, 163 Center St., Bangor, following the service.
