MELINA PELLETIER FORT KENT – Melina Pelletier, 95, beloved wife of the late Wilfred Pelletier, died Dec. 5, 2003, at a Fort Kent healthcare facility. She was born July 1, 1908, in Fort Kent, the daughter of Hubald and Eva (Landry) Hebert. She was a member of the Ladies of St. Anne, Mother of the Year 1982, and the Catholic Order of Foresters of Fort Kent. She was predeceased by her husband in 1979. She is survived by five sons, Albert Pelletier and his wife, Katherine, of Bristol, Conn., Richard Pelletier and his wife, Claudine, Edgar Pelletier and his wife, Pauline, Clifford Pelletier and Wilfred Pelletier Jr. and his wife, Linda, all of Fort Kent; four daughters, Mrs. Germaine Soucy, Mrs. Philip (Mildred) Dubois, Mrs. Milton (Juliette) Pelletier and Mrs. Roger (Gloria) Caron, all of Fort Kent; a daughter-in-law, Joan and Kenneth Paradis of Eagle Lake; one brother, Wilfred Hebert of Fort Kent; five sisters, Lillie Gagnon, Leona Paradis, Agnes Albert, all of Fort Kent, and Anna Doucette of Hartford, Conn., and Jeanette Blier of Ohio; 55 grandchildren; 88 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one son, Ludger Pelletier; one grandson, Alden Pelletier; and a son-in-law, Roy R. Soucy. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday and 9 a.m. until time of services Tuesday at the Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2003, at the St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent, with the Rev. Claude Gendreau officiating. Spring burial will be in the parish cemetery on May 12, 2004. Those who wish may donate in her memory to a charity of their choice. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
