FORT FAIRFIELD and SPRINGFIELD, Vt. – Melody L. Simonds, 60, wife of Stephen Simonds of Fort Fairfield, mother of Matt Simonds of Presque Isle and Jared Simonds of Fort Fairfield, died unexpectedly, Friday, July 13, 2007, at a Presque Isle health care facility. Friends may call 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, July 18, at Precision Valley Baptist Church, Route 6, North Springfield, Vt., where a memorial service will be conducted 11 a.m. with the Rev. Harold Stanfill officiating. Interment will be after at Oakland Cemetery, Springfield, Vt. Those who wish may contribute in memory of Melody to her granddaughter, Jessica, to assist with her special needs, care of Marcia Simonds, 20 Allen St., Presque Isle, ME 04769. Arrangements are in the care of Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, Fort Fairfield.
