LINCOLN – Melvin F. Clifford, 91, husband of Carolyn (Dunn) Whitney Clifford, died April 14, 2006, at his home. He was born Feb 21, 1915, the son of Daniel and Sarah (Bailey) Clifford. In addition to his wife, Carolyn; he is survived by three sons, Lawrence and Richard of Florida and Daniel of Waterboro; two daughters-in-law, Janice and Alfreda; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife, Marjorie E. (Smith) Clifford; a daughter, Jacqueline Faye; and two sons, Rodney Blake and Jeffrey Lynn. At his request, there will be no viewing or funeral, no flowers. In lieu of flowers, donations may be left at the Clay Funeral Home, to help with expenses.
