CHERRYFIELD – Merlin Look, 69, went to be with the Lord Sunday, Nov. 25, 2007, at a Bangor hospital. He was born Oct. 30, 1938, in Addison, the son of the late Clayton and Ella (Guptill) Look. Merlin graduated from Addison High School and was a member of Narraguagus Lodge No. 88 and Eastern Harbor Grange. Merlin worked for 20 years at Cherryfield Foods, Cherryfield working as a harvester and carpenter. He was a big fan of Narraguagus High School basketball and loved to watch the New England teams, including the Celtics and Red Sox. Even though he lost his leg, his dream was to walk again, which he managed 10 steps before he left us. He loved to work with wood, feed the birds and ducks, listen to music and dance. His fondest memories were working with the sheep on Nash Island with Jenny Cirone. He leaves behind a wife, Betty (Willey) Look of Cherryfield; his children, Charles Clayton Look and wife, Vicki, of Augusta, Terry Robitaille and husband, Mike, of Cherryfield, Cheryl McDowell of Arizona, Nancy Tucker of Hancock, Vicky Dauphinee and husband, Jeff, of Bangor and Leroy Tucker and wife, Alice, of Cherryfield, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren; two sisters, Elaine Ouellette and husband, Al, and Laura Merrill and husband, Clyde, all of Milbridge, several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins; and a special friend, “Bubba” Frank Dow and wife, Delia. The family extends a special thankd to the Dialysis Center, Ellsworth, who were like family to him, Maine Coast Memorial Hospital and Eastern Maine Medical Center. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited and may call 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, at Bragdon-Kelley-Campbell Funeral Home, 47 Main St., Milbridge. Services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor Craig Fickett officiating. Private burial will be at Morse Cemetery, Cherryfield.
