MONTICELLO – Merlin S. Graham, 85, died March 24, 2005, at a local health care facility. He was born April 9, 1921, at Monticello, the son of Clifford and Hazel (Sewell) Graham. Merlin served in the U.S. Army was active in the Kiwanis’, a member of the VFW, served on the Monticello Housing Authority, and volunteered many hours for the Houlton Regional Hospital. He is survived by one daughter, Andrea Kjenstad of Monticello; stepdaughter, Alayne Leslie of N.B., Canada; two sisters, Patricia Borden and her husband, Calvin, of N.H., Barbara Adams and her husband, William, of Massachusetts; two grandchildren, Allison and Scott Cohen; two stepgrandchildren, Scott MacLeod and Adam Leslie; two great-grandchildren, Megan and Samantha Cohen, several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, at Dunn Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Jewell Cemetery Monticello.
