MATTAWAMKEAG – Merton G. “Bud” Thibodeau, 76, husband of Pauline (Corbett) Thibodeau, died peacefully, Dec. 14, 2003, at a Lincoln hospital. He was born in Lee March 22, 1927, the son of Bessie Knights and Carl Thibodeau. Bud was employed by the Great Northern Paper Company for 32 years, retiring in 1987. His greatest love was hunting, fishing and nature. In addition to his wife of 51 years, Pauline, he is survived by two daughters, Marla Thibodeau of Lewiston, and Karla and son-in-law, Craig Chamberlain, of Dover, N.H.; a sister, Loretta and brother-in-law, Richard Manzo, of Millinocket; a sister-in-law, Juanita Hunter; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Beverly Hanneman; and a daughter, Shari Thibodeau. There will be a private family service at a later date.
