OLD TOWN – Susan F. Parady died Dec. 15, 2003, at the Eastern Maine Medical Center after an extended illness. Born Dec. 24, 1946, she was the first child of Leon F. and Elizabeth F. (O’Connell) Parady. Susan attended Old Town schools, the University of Maine and worked for more than 20 years in banking. Susan accumulated many dear friendships while living in many locations during her lifetime. She lived in Oklahoma, Texas, New Hampshire and Maine. Susan was a resident of Jay and Lewiston before returning home to Old Town in 1995. Susan’s greatest joy was being with people, visiting with her family and friends. She kept in touch with many life long friends, Ginny, Nancy, Lois, Prudy, Brenda, Kiki, Betsy and Janet, just to mention a few. Susan will be sadly missed by her Dad and Mom, Leon and Betty Parady of Old Town; her three sisters and their spouses, Cathy and Guy Phillips of Wilton, Patti and Dennis Tewhey of Old Town, and Julie and Everett Tewhey of Old Town; and a very special loving sister-in-law, Sylvia Parady of Old Town; her nephews and nieces, Eric, Jennifer, Amy, Jill, Kevin, Chris, Brian, Jamie, Michael, Katie, Lindsay and Megan; her grand nephews, Skyler and Devon; and her grand niece, Maisie. Susan was predeceased by her brother, Tom Parady; and her paternal and maternal grandparents. At Susan’s request, there will be no visitation. A private memorial service will be held at Holy Family Parish. It was Susan’s wish that anyone wishing to do something in her memory give an extra smile and say hello to someone you don’t know, comfort someone in need, and if you like, learn more about the struggles associated with bi-polar and anxiety disorders. A service of Brookings-Smith Old Town Chapel, 205 Main St., Old Town.
