LINNEUS – Meta H. Holst, 89, died Jan. 1, 2005, at her residence. She was born April 26, 1915, at Germany the daughter of Herman and Adeline (Kahrs) Riggers. Meta worked for several New York Delicatessens before moving to Linneus in 1976. She was a wonderful cook and very much loved her gardening. She is survived by her good friend and companion of 30 years, Herbert Krohn of Linneus; two granddaughters, Johanna Varipapa and Sabrina Rezotto; one grandson, Johann Holst; and a great-grandson, Richie Rezotto; sister, Ursula Monsees of Germany; stepfamily, Holger Krohn and Hannelora Brands and their families. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Monday, at Dunn Funeral Home, 11 Park St., Houlton. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home. A time of fellowship for friends and family will be held at the East Hodgdon Union Church following the funeral. Interment will be in the Linneus Cemetery.
