FITCHBURG, Mass. and OLD TOWN – Michael D. Michaud, 62, died Friday, Aug. 25, 2006, at St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester, Mass., after an illness. He was born May 14, 1944, in Old Town, son of the late George Jr. and Dorothy (Martin) Michaud. Michael attended Fitchburg, Mass. High School. He worked for the former Foster Grant for 23 years, after that he worked for more than nine years for Chem Design as a chemical operator. He enjoyed hunting, golfing, bowling and scratch tickets. He leaves his wife of 29 years, Shireen A. (Stepton) Michaud; two sons, Shaun M. Michaud and Todd D. Michaud, both of Fitchburg, Mass.; his daughter, Melissa Michaud of Fitchburg, Mass.; one grandson, Travis Michael Michaud; two brothers, James F. Michaud of Leominster, Mass., and George E. Michaud of Fitchburg, Mass.; his aunt and uncle, Vivian and Gerald Lawrence of Old Town, several nieces and nephews. A memorial Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Family Parish, Old Town with the Rev. Bill Labbe celebrant. Burial will be held at St. Joseph Cemetery, Old Town after the service. Family and friends are invited back to Holy Family Parish Hall for a luncheon and continued fellowship.
