BLUE HILL – Michael David Grant died gently at home Friday morning, July 30, 2004, with his beloved fianc?e and soul mate, Janet Torrey and her four daughters, Meredith and Kaiya Torrey, Laine Astbury and Nichole Bebout at his side. Michael, 53 years old, was born in Island Falls, April 10, 1951. His parents, Althea M. and Herman E. Grant raised Michael, his sister and two brothers in Patten. As an adult, he lived for many years in Colorado and had only just returned to Maine last year. His two sons, Joshua Grant and Christopher Grant are still living in Colorado. Michael also leaves behind his dear siblings, sister, Kathleen Grant Hunter; brother, Brian L. Grant, Brian’s wife, Cherie; brother, Robert J. Grant and Robert’s wife, Hunt Gressitt. Others who will miss him are his nephews, Eric, Jeremy, Nathan, Dylan, Ian, Adrian, Evan, Nichole’s husband, Shannon; and his niece, Autumn; and a special friend, A. Nancy Black. Michael’s life was a blessing to his family and friends. He will be remembered with love and tenderness. A memorial service will be held 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 8, at the Blue Hill Congregational Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Tree of Life Food Pantry, P.O.
