MICHAEL JOHN MANZA BAILEYVILLE – Michael John Manza, 39, died unexpectedly Saturday, July 15, 2006, as a result of an automobile accident. Michael was born May 5, 1967, in Calais, the son of Louis and Melvena (Seamans) Manza. Michael was employed as a police officer for six years with the Baileyville Police Department and then worked as a cutter with Domtar. Michael was a former member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows Frontier Lodge No. 111, Baileyville and enjoyed going to concerts, amusement parks, repairing stereos, fishing, sport cars and was an avid animal lover. Surviving are his mother, Melvena Manza of Baileyville; his fianc?e, Rebecca Moore and her son, Justin, of Baileyville; a sister, Laurie Lewis and her husband, William, of Bangor; a brother, Ralph Manza and his wife, Melissa, of Baileyville; two half brothers, Joseph Manza and his wife, Jane, of Alexander and Brian Manza of Baileyville; a niece, Jocelyn Manza; six nephews, Justin Andrews, Christopher Philbrick, Nicholas Lewis and Samuel, Christopher and Jason Manza; an uncle, Francis Manza and his wife, Louise, of Georgia; two aunts, Priscilla Miller of Baring and Ann Pomeroy and her husband, James, of New Jersey; several cousins; and his beloved dog, Coco. He was predeceased by his father, Louis Manza; and two faithful canine companions, Shadow and Nikki. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, July 22, at Mays Funeral Home, 26 Church St., Calais, with Pastor Keith Moody officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery.
