EAST MILLINOCKET – Michael McMahon Sr., 72, passed away with his loving family by his side Friday, Jan. 13, 2006, at a Bangor healthcare facility. He was born Sept. 29, 1933, the son of George and Veronica (Rehm) McMahon. Mac liked spending time at the F.O.R.M. in Millinocket chit chatting with his buddies. He enjoyed traveling with his wife, Alma and he also loved flying in his son’s airplane. Mac was huge World War II history buff, often reading books about the war. He also enjoyed cross-country skiing up until about two years ago. Mac is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Alma Thuv McMahon of East Millinocket; one son, Michael McMahon Jr. of Rochester, N.H.; one daughter, Tine and her husband, Eric MacKay, of Mountville, Pa.; two grandchildren, Hannah and Adam; two brothers, Joseph McMahon, Leo McMahon; one sister, Catherine Cook; three special sisters-in-law, Laura Storslett, Betty McMahon and Catherine McMahon; one brother-in-law, Harry Cook; many nieces and nephews. Friends may call 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18, at Mac’s home, 1 County St., East Millinocket. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Penobscot Valley Humane Society, P.O.
