In Loving Memory Of MICHEAL CRAIG COCHRAN Oct. 4, 1956 – Feb. 18, 1981 Found Feb. 24, 1981 Dearest Micheal, Twenty-seven years ago I, and your family, lost you when your life was violently taken. As your mother, I’ve suffered more years over your unsolved murder than you lived. A Maine fire marshal told us immediately that the two men who arrived on the scene the day you were found, in six-day old rubble, “need to be looked at” along with a man seen fleeing the murder scene. I’ve tried, son, but I’ve met many brick walls. We saw some backdoor justice two years ago when a new detective investigating your murder decided the fire marshal was correct. In Federal Court, he was instrumental in putting one of the perpetrators behind bars for life, for another crime, which was a direct result of his investigation of your murder. This gave us hope but we are now told that cold cases, your case, are not a priority. I don’t have another 27 years to live before I meet you again. And I have longed so to see justice for you before I left this Erth. With all our love and regret, Mom, Dad, Derry, Coralee and Shawnie
