BANGOR – Michelle A. LeBlanc, R.N., 38, wife of Adam P. Lauer, D.O., died unexpectedly March 29, 2008, at their home. She battled a chronic medical condition for the past 10 months. She was born Sept. 17, 1969, in Bangor, daughter of Virgil and Janet (Raincourt) LeBlanc, formerly of Veazie. Michelle graduated from Orono High School in 1987, and received her Bachelor’s of Science degree in nursing from Husson College School of Nursing in 1992. She worked for more than a decade at Eastern Maine Medical Center, 7th floor, as an OB/GYN labor room and surgical nurse. More recently, she had the pleasure of working with her husband in his medical practice as his office manager and office R.N. She helped establish Twin City Family Medicine, Brewer, more than 21/2 years ago. Surviving in addition to her beloved husband of Bangor and her parents of Florida, are two precious children, Jensen Cook of Bangor and her father, James Cook, of Augusta and Payton Amero of Bangor; three wonderful stepsons, Paul, Ben and Patrick Lauer of Bridgton; her brother, Gregory LeBlanc and his wife, Rebecca, of Oregon; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Lonnie Lauer, D.O., and Linda Lauer of Bridgton; sisters-in-law, Gretchen Cowan and Stephanie Lauer, both of Portland. There are many loving aunts, uncles and cousins from all over Maine whom have shown Michelle incredible love and support throughout her life. Michelle and her husband especially thank her primary care physician, Dr. Christopher Ritter; her surgeon, Dr. John Vanadia; her hospital physician, Dr. Leigh “Jack” Forbush; her metabolic consultant, Dr. Albert Adams; her home visiting nurse, Kaileen Reynolds, R.N.; and her close friend, Sherry Glazier. Michelle was grateful for their tireless care and efforts to cure her condition. All are considered personal friends of the family and their compassion will never be forgotten by her survivors. Finally, Michelle was touched by the countless patients in her husband’s medical practice, who dedicated the past 10 months to constant prayer, love and concern for her welfare. She would like to thank the many friends that she kept close to her heart. Family and friends may visit 4-7 p.m. Thursday, April 3, at Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 299 Union St., Bangor, where a memorial service will be held 7 p.m. as the visitation concludes.
