ALEXANDER and CARMEL Michelle “Shelly” Mary Jean White, 30, died unexpectedly Sunday, Sept. 3, 2006, of a brain aneurysm, surrounded by her family at a Boston hospital. Michelle was born Nov. 2, 1975, in Wesley, R.I., daughter of William and Elaine (Matlock) White. She was employed by Dick’s Sporting Goods, Bangor. Michelle loved the outdoors and enjoyed kayaking, fishing, camping and helping others. She was predeceased by her paternal grandmother, Mary White; and her maternal grandparents, Betty and Mac McInnes, and James Matlock. Surviving are her loving parents, Bill and Elaine White of Alexander; her fiance, Bill Pearson of Carmel; two children, William “Billy” White and Trinity Elaine Duren of Alexander; a sister, Rebecca Lynn Hatt and husband, John, of Baileyville; three brothers, William “Will” White and fiance, Jeanine Gallagher, of Auburn, Joseph “Joe” White of Alexander, and Michael “Mike” White of Baileyville; her paternal grandfather, Preston White of Rhode Island; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, at Mays Funeral Home, 26 Church St., Calais, with Fr. Frank Morin officiating. Burial will be after at Alexander Cemetery.
