WADE – Mickey W. McNeal, 73, died June 21, 2005, at his Wade residence, after a long illness. He was born Oct. 15, 1931, at Wade, the son of Norman and Bertha (Sparks) McNeal. Mickey was a graduate of the Washburn High School and was a member of the Advent Christian Church for many years, where he served as a Deacon of the Church as well as Sunday School superintendent. Mickey worked in sales most of his life as well as being district manager for NFIB. He devoted his life and his great gift of music to spreading the word of God. He worked avidly in politics and passionately believed in our great country and was proud that his oldest brother gave his life fighting for freedom. He is survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Donna (Nickerson) McNeal of Wade; two daughters, Rhonda Bell and her husband, Rick, of Wade and Cindy Bowman and her husband, Dennis, of Clinton; four grandchildren, Shelli and Krista Bowman, Justin and Danny Bell; two great-grandchildren, Sean and Alysa LeClair; one sister, Lorraine McNeal, of South Windsor, Conn.; and several nieces and nephews, including two very special nephews, Shawn Driscoll and Beacher McNeal II. He was predeceased by three brothers, Floyd, Harold and Beacher McNeal; and by one sister, Jenny Dow. Graveside committal services will be held 1 p.m., Friday, June 24, 2005, at the Riverside Extension Cemetery, with the Rev. Kenneth Fox, officiating. Arrangements are by the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou.
