LINCOLN – Mildred Muriel “Bea” Lyons, 76, wife of the late H. Herbert Lyons, passed away Oct. 11, 2007, at a Lincoln hospital. She was born June 18, 1931, in Lincoln, the daughter of Walter and Leona (Parker) Lovejoy. Bea enjoyed cooking, sewing, homemaking and her grandchildren. She was an avid sports fan no matter which sport it was. Bea played an integral part with Herb in the operation of the Lincoln Color Center for many years. She thoroughly enjoyed the last few months of her life at Cummings’ Assisted Living Facility, Howland, where she met many new friends, and became reacquainted with some old friends. She is survived by a daughter, Terri and her husband, Richard Thornton; a son, Peter Lyons and his wife, Lorna, all of Lincoln; five grandchildren, Tyson Thornton and his fianc?e, Victoria Nute, Amy Thornton, Nathan Lyons, Adrienne Lyons, and Camryn Lyons; two sisters, Pauline Lowell of Pensacola, Fla., and Jean and her husband, Sheldon Currier, of Lincoln; a brother, Gary Lovejoy of Windsor Locks, Conn.; in-laws, Sandra and Roger Nadeau of Fort Fairfield, Glennice Zieminski, and Robert Lyons and Anne, all of Connecticut, and Ken Monroe of Lincoln; a special niece, Patty Theriault; several other nieces and nephews. A private memorial Mass will be celebrated 1 p.m. Oct. 20, at St. Mary of Lourdes Catholic Church with the Rev. Myles Cyr, presiding. Interment will be at Lincoln Cemetery.
