HOULTON – Lillian “Inny” Roy, 75, died Oct. 11, 2007, in Houlton. She was born Jan. 27, 1932, in Stockholm, the daughter of Dennis and Celine (LaGassie) Roy. Lillian worked at Houlton International for 38 years and was a member of St. Mary’s of the Visitation Catholic Church, Houlton. Her shy, quiet, caring, unselfish ways led as an example for the rest of us. Her practice of feeding anyone who came to her door was well known throughout the family. She is survived by one brother, Richard Roy of East Millinocket; four sisters, Eva Higgins of Solon, Alma St. Peter of Belfast, Priscilla Nason and Dinah Tidd, both of Hodgdon; 42 nieces and nephews, many great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; five sisters, Edwina Daigle, Odile Bishop, Shirley Suitter, Emma Newhouse and Ella Juerette; and five brothers, Lionel, Ernest, Rene and two infant brothers, Norman and James. A memorial Mass will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 15, at St. Mary’s of the Visitation Catholic Church with Father Eddy Morin, celebrant. Interment will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
