FORT KENT and BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. – Mildred “Millie” Cyr, 82, died June 23, 2004, at the Jay Robert Lauer Hospice in Atlantis, Fla. She was born July 21, 1921, the only child of “Mack” and “Julianna” Violette of Madawaska. She is survived by a son, Greg Cyr and wife, Louise (Martin), of Ashburn, Va.; a daughter, Violet “Sis” Cyr of New Britain, Conn.; two grandchildren, Wayne Babin of New Britain, Conn., and Jennifer (Cyr) Cobean of Ashburn, Va.; and two great-grandchildren, Tabatha Babin of East Hartford, Conn., and Abigael Cobean of Ashburn, Va. She was predeceased by her husband, Claude “Zibbie” Cyr, in September 1983. Born in Van Buren, she grew up and was schooled in Madawaska. She lived in Fort Kent before retiring in 1977 with her husband to Boynton Beach, Fla. A memorial service will be announced and conducted at a later date, followed by interment at the St. Louis parish cemetery.
