CARIBOU and HAMPDEN Mildred W. (Anderson) Jewett Crouse, 91, passed away July 22, 2004, at her home in Caribou. She was born May 17, 1913, in Westfield, the daughter of Wallace and Mina (Shorey) Anderson. Mildred had worked on farms for many years and enjoyed bingo and doing plastic canvas work. She was predeceased by two husbands, Ivan Jewett and Harold Crouse; a daughter, Lena Irrera; two brothers and two sisters. Mildred is survived by a son, Ivan W. Jewett of Caribou; a daughter, Reba Eleanor Jewett of Houlton; a stepdaughter, Jennie McGraw of Caribou; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great- great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Hampden-Gilpatrick Funeral Home, 45 Western Ave., Hampden, with Deborah Calderwood officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 12 noon until time of service at 1 p.m. Tuesday. Interment will be in Locust Grove Cemetery, Hampden.
